An Access Denied - Merchant Already Provisioned error means the terminal was configured with a MID/TID combination that another terminal is already using. Follow the guidance below to get it resolved.


Error Message: Access Denied - Merchant Already Provisioned

Environment: Occurs on card-present transactions.

Root Cause: The terminal has been configured with a MID and TID combination that is already in use by another terminal.

How To Resolve: Send us a request on the Launchpay Support Portal and include the error message and terminal S/N. Our team will research the issue and provide next steps.

  • When describing your issue, gather as much information as you can about the issue including Location ID, error messages, screenshots, and user details to expedite the support process.

  • To find the Location ID, open the QuickPoint app on the terminal, press and hold the SoftPoint icon at the bottom of the screen for 5 – 10 seconds, and select Get Help. The Location ID displays on screen.

  • For API integrations, please provide the API endpoint details (method and URL), request payload, and response received.
